The 5th annual St Luke’s reunion for patients, families and Luke’s supporters in general took place in Bundoran May 18-21, 2012. There were also trips to Derry, Killibeggs, Donegal town and Beleek Pottery.

Our thanks to Penrose Crystal who once again generously provided their beautiful product for awards and prizes; and also to the Great Northern Hotel who provided the wine with our dinner on the big night Saturday 19th when presentations were made.
We were happy that 13 family members of the late Olive Stanley Wetzel were able to attend. Olive was our Vice Chair and worked tirelessly for St Luke’s. She died just before Christmas. Her brother Cyril Stanley accepted an award on behalf of the family. Together with his sister Elizabeth Nicholson, he showed some fancy steps on the dance floor where Muriel O’Connor entertained us. Muriel was so popular in 2011 that we had to have her back.
Other awards went to Ann Caddye, widow of Danny Caddye from Letterkenny, and to Tina O’Reilly, radiologist at St Luke’s.
Some of us were impressed by Joe Guilfoyle’s performance towards the end of the dance. Maybe he should sing the Irish Eurovision entry in 2013? Our thanks are due to Joe for all his hard work organising the event.
